How to fix Mouse Keyboard stuck on Mac OS mojave on VirtualBox

Note: Do not perform this step unless you still have the same issue (mouse and keyboard not working). You should have solved the matter after changing the OS version and installing the VirtualBox extension pack.

Open VirtualBox then go to the VM (macOS Catalina) Settings and from the USB tab, select USB 3.0 (xHCI) Controller. Next, click on Add button to list your mouse and keyboard under USB Device Filters.

That s it, you ve added your keyboard successfully and your mouse is actually working well. If you want to have a full-screen resolution edge to edge, hey mate, do go away, because you ve been covered, here s how to Fix macOS Mojave Screen Resolution on VirtualBox .

I wasted a lot of time in solving mouse and keyboard both were not working and I was installing MacOS Mojave on virtual Box on Linux. All you need to install is Virtual Box Extention pack from their official website-> double click and install it -> then from settings->USB-> select USB-3.restart the OS and this should be it.for more info follow this nice doc: -macos-mojave-virtualbox-windows/

I have a similar problem with teamviewer 15, windows 10 to macOS mojave - after a while mouse will only do right clicks, even when I try to left click. Alt-tab fixes for a while (thanks @GCRaistlin !) - did you ever find another fix?

It looks like by default VMWare sets USB compatibility to 1.1, and the VM did not recognize my USB mouse or keyboard. Changing that to 2.x got those working. The VM you end up with will also work with Linux VMWare WorkStation. You need the Linux VMWare unlocker (in the same zip file that has the Windows one).
